Which did you get? Pros and cons to each? Any victories or defeats assembling or painting?
I have ordered resin where I can, as most of my pinups will be painted and put in a glass cabnet. However I have limited experience with the material, so it should be a fun learning experience.

I prefer plastic for playing the game and customising your mini's. For display purpose and paiting I like resin more.

Plastic as long as it is cheaper. Resin is cool too.

I like them both equally, they each have their own virtues. Then again, Im a guy who played 40k with a forge world space marine army, so yeah, resin...

Plastic. While I don't mind resin, and indeed have a fair bit, plastic is a better medium I think. Slightly sturdier, cheaper generally and much less toxic.

Mostly if you sand resin. The particles created are so small they get stuck in your lungs or somesuch.

Hmm never used a mask with resin. I like plastic but the smell of a new resin figure equals happiness for me :3

Resin dust is toxic, screws up the lungs big time. Though they may be using a less toxic version for KD:M, I do not know. Still better not to breathe it in.

I love Resin as much as the next man, but I have to admit, plastic is getting so good nowadays that Resin might have to take a back seat to it. GW (Games Workshop) alone has released an impressive array of both build by numbers and free form plastics.

Yes, you need some form of respiratory protection when sanding resin. To be specific, I'd recommend either a hepatitis filtered mask or at the least an N95 dust mask. Not only it resin toxic, the dust generated is exceedingly fine and you don't want to breathe it. Make sure your area is ventilated and you use a damp cloth to wipe up the area you cut/sanded in. Sorry, I use respirators a lot and I'm a stickler about them.

I use my airbrush extractor and hold my breath when sanding. But I rarely sand and I do not recommend my method. I'm just lazy...
